I was very pleased to see the Ministry of Education; Tertiary Education Commission was the winner of the Excellence in Achieving Collective Impact award at IPANZ.  Trades Academies motivate students to get real, hands-on experience, an NCEA Level 2 qualification and a head-start on their future career. They were created by a partnership between schools, tertiary providers, and employers and help bridge the gap between school, tertiary study, and work.

IPANZ  awards recognise and celebrate outstanding performance in the public sector, and the difference public sector professionals make to the lives of New Zealanders.
