Today the Prime Minister unveiled a plaque to commemorate the opening of the few facilities at Burwood Hospital.

The first stage of The Terraces, from Cashel Street to Hereford Street, is the second project to be completed under Ōtākaro, the new Crown-company established to deliver the City’s key anchor projects, in conjunction with the Christchurch City Council.  The Terraces were recently formally opened by the Prime Minister.

Well done to Auckland, Ministry for Primary Industries, the winner of the IPENZ Award for Excellence in Public Sector Engagement – for their work in the Queensland fruit fly response,

Congratulations to All Right? Canterbury District Health Board who were finalists in the IPANZ  Awards Public Sector Engagement category.

I was very pleased to see the Ministry of Education; Tertiary Education Commission was the winner of the Excellence in Achieving Collective Impact award at IPANZ.  Trades Academies motivate students to get real, hands-on experience, an NCEA Level 2 qualification and a head-start on their future career.

Great to see the Birth Registrations Online project a joint winner of the Poster Award for excellence in design.  This project set out to replace a time-consuming and paper-based process with an electronic system available 24/7- saving money and producing more timely and accurate records.
