Four schools in the Christchurch Central electorate are part of a group of 18 schools forming Christchurch Catholic Schools Community of Learning with 2560 students and the Linwood Community of Learning for 2197 students.

Three providers have been granted funds to deliver their youth driven projects in Christchurch Central under Youth Fund 2016.

Over the next four weeks 17,765 Canterbury students will sit end-of-year NCEA exams.

Our local students have worked hard to prepare for these exams and I congratulate them for their hard work so far.

I’m confident our students are capable, and well prepared by our world-class education system.
